Virginie Truchot

After ten years in haute couture in Paris, Virginie turned to sculpture. She studied in London then with Terence Wong in Hong Kong. His first exhibition took place in 2009 in Hong Kong and was followed by others in Tokyo, Singapore and New York.

She left Asia, after thirteen exciting years, for New York where she continued her training at the Art Student League. Alongside her creative work regularly exhibited since 2009, her taste for exchange drives her to share her passion and to teach sculpture but also to work as a guide lecturer at the Metropolitan Museum in New York.
Virginie likes to experiment with different materials: papier-mâché, clay, wax, translucent resin or bronze.
Asia, Africa and Japan particularly mark his sculpted work.
From her travels, she brings back sculpted stones, pearls and silver ornaments from which she draws a collection of ethnic and original jewellery.
Always curious and eager for new experiences, she perfects herself in painting where she mixes, in her latest creations, the fluidity and the vibrant colors of Asia; watercolor with the rigor of pen and Indian ink.
