nathalie perakis

Nothing predestined Nathalie Perakis-Valat, a graduate of HEC, to become an artist photographer. However, this passion seized her in 2010 in Shanghai when she was overwhelmed by this city.
Through her different series, Nathalie takes you into an unreal, timeless universe, becoming attached to the characters she meets, playing with the viewer, experimenting with her camera but also with other mediums.
His work has been seen in monographic and collective exhibitions in Asia and France, notably at the Atelier Yann Arthus Bertrand in 2015 and at the Silo in Marseille in 2018.
An aesthetic research as much as an ethnographic approach, the work of Nathalie Perakis-Valat wonderfully illustrates the words of Oscar Wilde, recalling that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.
The photograph given is from the Natural Fireworks series.
Influenced by fireworks, an art from China still very present during major holidays, this series brings out the light from natural elements.
This explosion of color is part of the circle, a symbol of perfection and unity.
Considered by some as jewels, by others as moonstones, these works exude great energy but also peace and harmony.
