I like to save stories from the past to tell them in the present, take them out of their context and give them new life in a resolutely contemporary universe.
I collect worthless, forgotten or discarded papers, scraps of posters, tickets, invoices, photos from the past that tell something about ourselves and the society around us.

Engraving, sculpture but above all painting allow me to stage them and divert them from their initial function. It's a question of perception and inventiveness.
These papers are the common thread of my paintings around which are invited snippets of sentences, words, signs and symbols delivered to the imagination of the spectator who will find his own interpretation, and often refer to the many countries in which I have lived.
