celine de la bruniere
Céline de La Brunière draws her inspiration from her stays on the Atlantic coast.
She undertook to lay down on the canvas the seabirds she encounters there, and the crustaceans or fish she catches there.
The artist wants to magnify these seaside animals that we encounter on a daily basis.
She stages them in original attitudes, and transposes them onto large formats.
It exploits the amazing mechanics of shells by projecting a claw forward, and taking a new point of view; she plays with lights, transparencies, swirls, clouds for the background; and to complete this search for textures, mixes his compositions with matter, sand, mortar or raw color.
